David Fiene named Corporate Controller
IRVINE, Calif., — Advantage Sales and Marketing (ASM) today appointed David Fiene as Corporate Controller. Fiene reports directly to Brian G. Stevens, Vice President, Finance & Accounting. He will be responsible for overseeing ASM’s corporate accounting operations including corporate financial reporting, U.S. GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
“David brings a wealth of experience to ASM,” said Stevens. “His leadership in public and private companies, where he led all phases of financial reporting, Initial Public Offerings (IPO) and internal control compliance, is a natural fit for this new role.”
Fiene joined ASM in June 2008 as Director of Accounting with more than 15 years of accounting expertise. His experience includes leading global SOX implementation, financial reporting and analysis, and organizational accounting. Before joining ASM, he served as Director of Accounting and Compliance for Multi-Fineline Electronix, Inc., a NASDAQ publicly-traded company with $750 million in revenue. There, he led SOX compliance, established financial controls, established an internal audit department, in addition to many other key financial responsibilities. He also served as a senior manager at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, assisting with IPOs and Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) filings. Fiene is also a Certified Public Accountant.
